Luis A. Vargas received his MS at the Catholic University, Chile and his PhD in 1963 from the University of Madrid, Spain under Dr. Rafael Perez-Ossorio. He was Professor and Chair of the Chemistry Dept. at the Catholic University, Chile until 1968. He completed Post-Doctoral work in 1971 at New York University under Dr. Y.E. Rhodes. He was senior research scientist at Long Island Jewish Medical Center and has also been a Professor at Queensborough Community College in NY since 1992.
