Transportation

Transport within Barcelona:

While Barcelona has a wide range of transport options, it is easy, fast and convenient to find your way around and travel to Barcelona. The subways, buses, FGC trains and trams in Barcelona are a single transport network. All you need is a ticket to almost what means of transport.

It can often be confusing, when you book flights to Barcelona. In fact, there is only one airport in Barcelona named “El Prat de Llobregat Aeropuerto”, but there are two other airports in the nearby, Girona and Reus, which are approximately 120 km away from Barcelona, offering you access to Barcelona through transfer services.

Girona Airport and Reus Airport are attracting to visitors as they are the host of low-cost airline flights. However, when booking your tickets, it is worth estimating how much savings will actually be made after you have paid for your move to Barcelona. You may notice that this is offset by the cost of transport to the city center of Barcelona. Or you may just decide that the saving you're going to make is not worth the extra time you're going to lose or the trouble you're going to have.
